From the substrate to the finished surface.

Elitär-Bau GmbH is a finishing and facade contractor based in Berlin-Mariendorf: interior and exterior plastering, external wall insulation (WDVS), drywall, refurbishment, strip-out, masonry and painting. Structural shell work is not part of what we do; everything on top of it is.

Services

  • Interior and exterior plastering

Everything starts with the substrate. We check it for load-bearing capacity, absorbency and residual moisture, and only then decide whether it needs a primer, a spatter coat or a bonding agent. Gypsum, gypsum-lime or lime-cement plaster inside; mineral render on a matching build-up outside. The wall decides which system is used, not what happens to be in the yard. Edges, reveals and the joints to windows and doors are formed with profiles.

  • External wall insulation (EIFS/WDVS)

An external wall insulation system is one closed build-up, not a stack of separate items: adhesive, insulation board, anchors, reinforcing coat with embedded mesh, primer, finishing render. The insulation thickness comes from your energy certificate. We work out the details that otherwise give a system away: the plinth connection, window reveals, joints at abutments, the roof edge. The mesh sits inside the reinforcing coat, not underneath it; corners and openings get corner beads and diagonal strips.

  • Drywall

Framing, boarding, jointing. We build partitions and independent linings from metal studs, install suspended ceilings, shafts and service voids. Connections to floor, wall and ceiling get the sealing detail the wall type calls for. Where acoustic or fire performance is required, board type, number of layers, stud spacing and insulation infill follow the system approval — none of that is a free choice. Jointing is done to the surface quality the wall needs: Q1 behind linings, Q4 where raking light meets a flat wall.

  • Refurbishment

In an existing building, what is actually inside the wall decides the job. We take off damaged plaster, look at what is underneath and rebuild it: patching individual areas, a new plaster build-up, a clean connection to whatever stays. Old drawings are a hint for us, not a fact. If something turns up behind the plaster that does not fit the picture, we say so before carrying on.

  • Strip-out and demolition

Removal of non-load-bearing elements, stripping out individual rooms, taking off old plaster and wall layers. Dust protection is not an extra item: we put up dust screens, seal openings and keep the working area separate from the parts of the building still in use. Debris is separated and taken away. We only touch load-bearing elements once structural clearance is in place.

  • Masonry

Masonry in fit-out and in existing buildings: internal walls, infills, closing openings, adjustments during conversion. We lay in bond, keep bed and perpend joints, and match unit format and mortar to the wall that is meant to result. Where a wall is extended or an opening is closed, the connection to the existing fabric is what counts.

  • Painting

At the end there is the surface people actually see. We prime, fill and paint — inside on plaster, plasterboard and existing surfaces, outside on the finished render. The paint follows the substrate: vapour-permeable where the wall has to release moisture, scrub-resistant where it gets touched. Because plaster, drywall and paint come from one contractor here, nobody has to work out afterwards whether an uneven patch came from the plaster or from the paint.

What you can check for yourself

  • On the commercial register since 2014

Elitär-Bau GmbH has been registered with Charlottenburg Local Court since 3 November 2014, under HRB 162507 B. The number is in the legal notice so that you can look the entry up in the commercial register without having to ask us for it.

  • Listed with the Berlin Chamber of Skilled Crafts

The company is listed on the register of craft businesses held by the Handwerkskammer Berlin. That is not an award, it is a place to check: there is a chamber that can confirm this company's entry.

  • Plaster, insulation and fit-out from one contractor

Substrate, plaster, external wall insulation, drywall and paint are not spread across several firms here. That takes the usual arguments out of the transitions: the reinforcing coat under the render, the connection between a drywall partition and the plaster background, the reveal between facade and window.

How working together runs

  1. 1

    Enquiry

You describe briefly which works are involved, where the building is and when they are meant to happen. Drawings or a bill of quantities help, but are not a requirement.

  2. 2

    Site visit

We look at the surfaces. For plaster and external wall insulation the substrate decides the build-up, and that cannot be settled seriously from a distance.

  3. 3

    Quotation

You receive a quotation with quantities, items and the intended build-up. What is not included is stated as well.

  4. 4

    Execution and handover

We work through the items and report it when the existing fabric turns out different from what was assumed. At the end we walk the surfaces with you.

About us

Elitär-Bau GmbH is based at Kunigundenstraße 4 in Berlin-Mariendorf, in the borough of Tempelhof-Schöneberg. The company has been on the commercial register of Charlottenburg Local Court since 3 November 2014 and is listed on the register of craft businesses held by the Berlin Chamber of Skilled Crafts. The managing director is Aziz Fidan.

Our trade is finishing and facade work: plaster inside and out, external wall insulation, drywall, refurbishment, strip-out, masonry and painting. We are not a structural shell contractor. Foundations, floor slabs and load-bearing structure are a different trade, and we would rather say so beforehand than afterwards.
